According to 9news, an earthquake occurred near the Great Barrier Reef tourist center, Towsville.

The report said that at around 9:30 p.m. last night, a magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck Queensville, causing houses to shake and residents north of Cayns and south of Mackay to feel a slight tremor.
The epicenter of the quake was 17 kilometers away from the town, with a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the company.
About 4500 people in Queensland reported feeling the quake.
